Bringing AviAg’s Drone Technology to Local Communities
AviAg Drone Services’ commitment goes beyond delivering cutting-edge drone spray services and precision drone mapping solutions. We also believe in fostering strong community connections and empowering farmers and landowners with the latest advancements in agricultural and drone mapping technology.
Our recent community engagements have been all about sharing knowledge, showcasing innovation, and supporting local growers. From hands-on demonstrations to in-depth discussions, here’s how we’ve been making an impact in our local community.
A Little Bit of Relief Ag Expo – Alpine Shire
In the heart of Dederang, Alpine Shire, at the “A Little Bit of Relief Ag Expo,” we had the pleasure of engaging with farmers, industry professionals, and agricultural enthusiasts eager to explore the future of farming. Our booth featured our latest drone models, including the powerful T25 and T50 spray drones, which demonstrated their efficiency in precision spraying.
In addition to showcasing these aerial workhorses, we also displayed our advanced mapping technology, including the Multispectral Mapping Drone and DJI RTK Base Station, drawing significant interest from those looking to optimise their farm operations through high-tech solutions. Attendees were eager to learn how these tools could streamline workflows, reduce input costs, and enhance productivity.
To enhance the attendees’ experience further, we conducted two live demonstrations, allowing visitors to witness firsthand how drone spray services can simplify large-scale farm management. Seeing these drones in action sparked engaging discussions and left attendees with a deeper understanding of how precision agriculture can transform their work.
Strengthening Local Connections – Towong Shire
In Towong Shire, we took a more personal approach, hosting an intimate community session where we connected directly with local landholders. This setting allowed for in-depth conversations about how drone technology is reshaping agriculture, from targeted spraying to detailed crop analysis with drone mapping.
Our team provided tailored insights into how these innovations could address specific challenges faced by farmers, whether managing difficult terrain, reducing manual labour, or increasing efficiency. The session’s interactive Q&A fostered meaningful discussions, ensuring that every attendee walked away with valuable knowledge applicable to their unique farming needs.
Following the discussion, we stepped outside for a live demonstration, where the event’s participants saw our drones in action. This personalised engagement not only helped build trust but also inspired many landholders and even large-scale contractors to consider integrating drone technology into their operations.
Inspiring the Next Generation – Wodonga Senior Secondary College
At Wodonga Senior Secondary College, we had the privilege of introducing students to the future of farming. Agriculture and Horticulture students, eager to explore modern innovations, participated in an engaging session led by our Director, Mick Swenson. He provided insights into the practical applications of drone technology, including crop monitoring, pest control, and land mapping.
The excitement grew as we moved outdoors for a live drone demonstration. Students, along with their teachers, watched in awe as our high-powered drones took flight.
The highlight of this event? Some lucky students had an unforgettable opportunity to operate the large drones themselves under the guidance of our Chief Pilot. Described as “awesome,” this experience left a lasting impression, inspiring many to explore drone technology’s revolutionary impact on agriculture.
Looking Ahead: Continuing Our Commitment to the Community
At AviAg, we are passionate about sharing the benefits of drone technology with the agricultural community. Through our recent engagements, we were able to reinforce the value of hands-on demonstrations, meaningful discussions, and strong local connections. Looking ahead, we have several exciting community programs lined up, offering more opportunities to experience the power of drone spray services and precision drone mapping.
If you’re interested in participating in our upcoming community events or would like us to host an information session for your organisation, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s work together to bring innovative solutions to more farms and agricultural spaces.
